As the warm sun rose upon the horizon, I could feel the heat sweeping across my face. I opened my eyes and I was somewhere unfamiliar. Somewhere... new. My sword left me and I had no more equipment. My head had a terrible pound to it. I walked to the door of the room, and it was locked. I could not seek my way out of it. I searched through the cabinets and found a small brass key. I tried it on the door, but alas, it did not work. I searched some more when I found a chest with a brass lock on it. The key opened the chest. Inside was a note saying, "It has been risen. Escape as quickly as possible". I knew what this note meant, for I had fought it before. The board the note was resting on was loose. I lifted it up and there was a golden key. It opened the door. I got out only to realize I was alone. The forest was not on my side at this time of the day. I saw a small man in the distance. I quickly ran to him and asked, "Where am I, kind sir? Please help me!" He did not answer. I kept shouting and shaking him. He then spoke in an odd language I could not comprehend. I wrote it down and put it in my pocket. An instant later an arrow pierced his head. I looked to the east and I saw scouts waiting there. I dodged their arrows and was looking for something to use as a sword when I realized, these were the men who kept me here.
I found a large stick to deflect the arrows. I ran towards them and blocked all the arrows I could. They got me twice. I knocked them out with the log and took their weapons and equipment. I continued to walk through the woods, for hours it seemed. Nobody, and nothing. A vast sea of trees. I came to a clearing which had a well in the middle. "How peculiar" I thought. A simple well in the middle of the woods. I then saw a little girl walking away. I ran to her and asked her where I was. She replied, "You have entered the realm. You cannot escape." I did not know what this meant. I followed her to her cottage. It was larger than the one I was kept in, but still very small. Her father was at the door and was giving me a grim stare. I bowed and spoke, "My lord. I have come from the forest and seek help." He replied, "I will help no ranger of your sort." I did not understand. I asked, "Sir, why have you called such a thing?" He replied, "You have the equipment of the king, you fool. Are you that dumbfounded?" I remembered taking the scouts equipment but, were they rangers? If they were, I can never show my face there for as long as I live. "Kind sir. I was locked in a cottage Far past the clearing to the south. Some scouts tried to kill me. I took their equipment and weapons in case I encountered them again. You must beleive me sir." He looked blankly at me and began to smile. He then said, "Get in here. I have something for you."
I walked in the house and saw my sword, my shield, and a new suit of armor. Possibly owned by a great warrior of the sort. I asked, "Why do you have my things? Are you the man who locked me away?" He said, "No. One of the scouts came by and dropped of your items. I have no need for them. Take them." I exchanged equipment when the note fell out of my pocket. We both reached for it, but the man grabbed it first. "Whats this jibberish? Youre a spy aren't you?!" I quickly said, "No sir! I found a small man at the cottage. He spoke these words and then a scout pierced his head with an arrow." This time the man didn't believe me. He got a crossbow out of his room and pointed it at me. He yelled, "Come out. I found him."
To be continued...
EDIT:
I'm making a flash about this! w00t!
I'm not sure when I'll start it, since I have a bunch of flash projects started and midway already, but I'll try to find time.
If anyone wants to help, that would be great.
Thanks!
